We're getting closer.....

....to being parents.  As of Tuesday, August 28th we were officially licensed for the adoption.  Now, we begin the match process (too much to explain here).  We are so excited!  We know God will bless us with the right child...as well as we will be a blessing to the right child.  Keep us in your prayers as we patiently wait through this process.

Freedom Writers

I am not sure how many of you have heard of the movie Freedom Writers and/or have seen the movie.  Well, I had the awesome opportunity to meet Erin Gruwell (the teacher the story was based on) and one of her students Maria (Eva in the movie).  It was awesome!!!  It took everything to contain myself.  They are so down to earth and really have a passion to reach out to young people others have given up on.  I asked Erin if she would pack me in her suitcase and carry me back to California with her.  I will post a picture soon.

WE ARE EXCITED!!

We are so excited.  Louis and I have been preparing to adopt and we are one step closer.  We have our meeting scheduled with the adoption agency to get our license and review the policy manual.  The next step is the 'match' process.  When most people think of adopting, they think of adopting an infant.  We want to adopt a male between the ages of 5 and 10.  So, keep us in your prayers as we begin this process.  God has been with us ALL along the way and we know HE will continue to order our footsteps.

So, keep checking back to see if we have posted pictures of our new family.

4 Months

WOW!  It has been 4 months since we last posted.  It seems like a lot of people have given up on xanga.  Corey P.  thanks for keeping it alive and CONGRATULATIONS on the new relationship.

We are about to leave for Florida for a week.  As many of you know, my sister's husband is in the Air Force.  Since he was out on missions a lot last year, we planned this vacation, at the beginning of the year, to spend some time together and catch up on some family time.  We will also be celebrating my nephews 2nd birthday.

Well, this is it for now.  Hopefully, it will not take 4 months for us to post a new entry.

WHAT HAPPENED?

It has been almost a month since we've posted anything.  It has been busy for me (Angela) with school.  By the time I get one test finished, it is time for the next.  Our semester ends April 21st and there is so much to get done before then.  So, I am going to focus on Monday and Tuesday and then begin to strategically plan how I will get the other stuff done.

We were able to spend a little time with my brother-in-law, sister, and nephew Tre last weekend.  It was so much fun!!  He continues to amaze me with all that he can do.  My sister and Tre will return in a few weeks and then we will get to see them again Easter weekend.  So, needless to say, I will be getting all the nephew time I can.  I am hoping to see my older nephew that weekend as well.  He is a character as well.  He is always saying something to make us laugh.

Well, I hope everyone has a great spring break.  I do not get a spring break.  It would be so nice to have a break from school so that I can catch up on studying and rest.  I guess they do it this way so we can get a significant amount of hours in a semester.

BLESSINGS!!!!
